Understanding weighted grades
Formula
Weighted Grade = Σ (Grade × Weight) ÷ Σ Weight
Example: (85×20 + 78×20 + 72×30 + 80×30) ÷ 100 = 78.5%
⚖️ What is a weighted grade?
A weighted grade gives different importance to different components. A final exam worth 40% matters more than a quiz worth 10%.
